Invitation for Bids (IFB)

  1. The Government of Ghana has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Greater Accra Resilient and Integrated Development Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Construction of Culverts for Railway Lines at Alogboshie. For this contract, the Borrower shall process the payments using the Direct Payment disbursement method, as defined in the World Bank’s Disbursement Guidelines for Investment Project Financing.
  2. The Ministry of Works and Housing now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for Construction of Culverts for Railway Lines at Alogboshie to be executed within 8 Months as detailed below.
Description Bid Security (GHC)
The Works comprise construction of four (4No.) railway culvert crossings with outfall drains as follows:

1.  Single-cell box 2.0m wide x 2.0m deep with outfall drain of size 1.5m x 1.5m deep (25m long).

 

2.  Three-cell box 3.5m wide x 2.0m deep with outfall drain of size 4.0m x 1.5m deep (10m long)

 

3.  Four-cell box 3.5m wide x 2.5m deep with outfall drain of size 6.0m x 2.0m deep (60m long)

 

4.  Single-cell box 3.0m wide x 2.0m deep with outfall drain of size 2.0m x 1.5m deep (20m long)

 

GHC 360,000.00

 

  1. Bidding will be conducted through National Competitive Procurement using Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers- Procurement in Investment Projects Financing” 4th Edition November 2020 (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.
  2. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from The Project Coordinating Unit, Procurement Specialist at tenders@garid-accra.com and inspect the Bidding document during office hours 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the address (3) given below.
  3. The Bidding document in English may be purchased by interested eligible Bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address (3) below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of GHC 1,000.00. The method of payment will be Cash. The document will be sent by Courier at an additional cost of GHC 250.00
  4. Bids must be delivered to the address (2) below on or before May 26, 2023. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address (2) below on May 26, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. local time.
  5. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of GHC 360,000.00 from a reputable bank.
  6. All Bids must be accompanied by Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (SEA) and/or Sexual Harassment (SH) Declaration
  7. Attention is drawn to the Procurement Regulations requiring the Borrower to disclose information on the successful bidder’s beneficial ownership, as part of the Contract Award Notice, using the Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Form as included in the bidding document.
